COPROT
Tortugas de Osa
COPROT is a community-driven conservation project that aims to conserve sea turtle nesting beach habitat on the the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. We protect 8km of beach where we register over 7000 nests per season from the Olive Ridley and Pacific green species.
Since November Encounter Latin America has been supporting this incredible project.
Now we also need your help.
How can we all help?
COPROT has no electricity in either of their camps. The solar panels and batteries in Carate Camp have to be replaced. Unfortunately, they have reached their maximum use and we need to buy new ones.
The purchase of the new batteries and solar panels is around USD 1,815.00
For every donation you make, we, in Encounter Latin America, will equal the donated amount to achieve this goal before June!
